In POP Peeper, I just created a POP3 account (IMAP would probably be better, but POP3 is simpler and always a good starting point) and set the server to 127.0.0.1 and changed the port to 1110, which is the default in DavMail (I see that in Godiva's tutorial, the port was changed to 110, but I wouldn't recommend that). Well, I knew I had Java installed for something else (but didn't remember if it was 32 or 64-bit), so I downloaded the 64-bit version of DavMail and this time it worked.Īfter that, I just left DavMail at the default settings - which most likely wouldn't work for you because you'd need to change the "OWA or EWS URL" for your company. I tried adding my calendars with CalDav through Davmail and that's utterly useless too. Akonadi EWS calendar support is completely broken and it seems like it was abandonded as no bugs filed against it have even been addressed. So I am assuming because I cant receive emails and the sent mail doesnt copy to the sent folder.

In this version (both 3.2 and 3.4 beta) I found two issues. When I first installed DavMail, I downloaded the 32-bit version and when I tried to run it, it told me that it didn't find a valid version of Java. making it a fantastic candidate for running inside a Docker container. I got mail working through Davmail, but KMail is soooo slow with it. I have this same result whether Davmail is running or not. I moved to this version because the 1stsetup version stopped working in the latest version of Thunderbird. That leads me to believe that DavMail should still work for business EAS accounts as well.

So, it occurred to me - maybe regular email addresses will work through DavMail. There seems to be a bunch of code in there to deal with some non-standard mangled cookies that can get sent back and that code doesn't seem to be working any more because cookie.getDomain () now gives back a string that's bigger than the host string. > Davmail converts OWA into regular mail protocols like POP3, IMAP, SMTP. AFAIK the > only way is to provide a password which does not apply here. The OWA e-mail client I've been using has stopped working. Yeah, I'm fairly confident that the webmail subscription wouldn't work for you, so let's leave that off the table.Īre you saying that you had DavMail working for you before, but it stopped? Or that you initially tried it a year ago and it didn't work? It seems that the problem is in the DavMailCookieSpec.java file. how to tell davmail to authenticate in this way.
